Up the vale the A465 is a good road that finishes in a poor one for a saloon. Past Glynneath, the routes towards Sgwd yr Eira tighten sharply, lanes above Ystradfellte carry grass down the middle here and there, and by ten on a fine weekend those small car parks are full.
