Twenty to thirty minutes from the centre, and pleasantly unhurried, sits Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Plenty of guests fly into Manchester instead, generally forty-five minutes to an hour on the M62 according to the hour of day. Driving up from London means the M1 and M6, four and a half to five and a half hours as a rule, which makes the train to Lime Street with a car waiting a popular alternative.
