Choosing
Most people choose a car by counting seats. It is worth spending a moment on the other questions: how long you will be sitting in it, whether you need to work, how much luggage is really coming, and whether the day ends on a gravel drive or a hotel forecourt.
For a twenty-minute run across town almost anything is comfortable. For four hours to Edinburgh the difference between an E-Class and an S-Class is the difference between arriving and arriving well. For a wedding the car is in the photographs, which changes the calculation entirely.

Choosing a Chauffeur-Driven Car
There are real reasons behind the categories. An executive saloon like the Mercedes E-Class takes one or two passengers with modest luggage and makes no ceremony of it. Step up to the luxury tier, the Mercedes S-Class and the BMW i7, and what you buy is rear legroom, quieter insulation and seats you can genuinely rest in across four hours. A Mercedes V-Class carries a group together with their cases, something no saloon can honestly claim. Range Rover and Defender belong on lanes, gravel and bad weather.
Before taste enters the conversation at all, two numbers settle most of the choice: how many people, and how many large cases. Count both honestly, hand luggage included, since that is the bag which always turns up at the last moment. A car that fits on paper but not in practice ruins the start of a journey. Which vehicle you pick also moves the quotation, because the car is one of the four things we price against, alongside distance, duration and timing.
Ceremonial marques are a different decision altogether. A Mercedes-Maybach, a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Phantom or Cullinan gets picked because the arrival itself matters, and because the car will sit in photographs that outlive the day by years. Far fewer of these are available than saloons, so a particular model on a particular Saturday wants asking for early. Message us on WhatsApp with your date, the addresses and roughly how the day looks, or fill in the journey planner instead. Nothing is owed either way, and getting a price asks for no card details at all.

Back comes a written quotation setting out the vehicle, the timings and everything included. No estimate that shifts afterwards, and no surge pricing.

Once you confirm, your date has a vehicle against it and a named professional chauffeur, with the terms set down in writing.

Ask late and you will usually still get an executive or luxury saloon, simply because those two do the bulk of the daily work. People carriers grow harder to find around the school holidays and through the airport season. Distinctive marques go first of all; a Saturday in high summer can be spoken for months ahead of time. Where the car forms part of the plan, ask before you fix the date.
No car is held here on spec, which is why availability gets confirmed against your actual date rather than promised in the abstract. Send three things: the date, the vehicle you have in mind, and the shape the journey takes. Should the exact model turn out to be unavailable, we will put forward the nearest equivalent and spell out what differs, instead of swapping it quietly on the morning. Book against that written confirmation.
