A multi-day booking is not a stack of day bookings. It has its own logic, its own constraints and its own considerable advantages, the largest of which is that by the second morning your chauffeur already knows how you like the day to run. That continuity is the thing people remember afterwards, and it is worth designing for deliberately rather than hoping it happens.

There are constraints too, and they are worth understanding before you build the itinerary rather than after. Driving hours are regulated and finite. A chauffeur working away from home needs somewhere to stay. Cars have to get to the start and back from the end. This guide covers all of that and sets out what to send us so a trip can be quoted properly.

Think in days, not journeys

The unit of a multi-day trip is the day: a stated start, a stated finish, and whatever you decide to do in between. That is what makes touring and extended business travel work, because plans made three days ahead of the day itself rarely survive contact with reality, and a held car absorbs the changes without any of them becoming bookings.

It also means the sensible planning question is not how many miles you will cover but how many hours each day needs and where each one begins and ends. Those need not be the same place. A trip that starts in London, works north and finishes in Edinburgh is entirely normal, and simply carries a different set of positioning considerations from one that returns each evening.

Continuity and the limits on it

The same chauffeur throughout is the intention wherever it is possible, and it makes a real difference. They learn the temperature you like, which of your bags goes in the cabin, how much notice you want before departure, and whether the mornings should be quiet. None of that has to be explained twice, and by the third day the arrangement runs itself.

Regulated hours are the constraint. A chauffeur cannot work indefinitely, and a run of very long days will eventually require either a rest day, a second chauffeur, or a reshaped schedule. That is a legal and safety limit rather than an operational preference. Where it applies to your trip we will tell you at the planning stage and set out how the days are to be covered.

Where the chauffeur sleeps

If the trip takes the chauffeur away from home overnight, accommodation has to be arranged and agreed in advance. Some clients prefer to book a room at the same property, which is convenient and means the car stays with the party. Others prefer the chauffeur to stay nearby. Either works, and the arrangement forms part of the written quotation rather than being settled over dinner on the first evening.

What matters practically is that the chauffeur has somewhere to rest properly, that the car can be parked securely, and that both are near enough to the party for an early start to be workable. Somewhere with parking is worth more than somewhere smart. Tell us where you are staying and we will tell you honestly whether the arrangement works or whether somewhere nearby would suit everybody better.

  • Where the chauffeur will stay each night, and who arranges it
  • Whether secure parking is available at or near the accommodation
  • The earliest start and latest finish planned on each day
  • Whether any day is a rest day with no car required
  • How far the car travels to reach day one and to leave the final day
  • Whether the same chauffeur is intended throughout the trip

Quiet days and released hours

Not every day of a trip needs a car all day, and building in the days that do not is one of the most useful things you can do. A day spent entirely at one hotel, a day of meetings inside one building, a day walking a city centre: none of these needs a vehicle held from breakfast to bedtime, and saying so shapes the arrangement sensibly.

Be honest about which days those are rather than holding everything as insurance. A pattern of full days at the beginning and end with a lighter middle is extremely common and perfectly straightforward to arrange. What is difficult is an itinerary that reserves everything and uses half of it, because the unused half was held out of the diary and unavailable to anybody else who asked for it.

Building the itinerary

Start with the fixed points across the whole trip: flights, ceremonies, dinners with a table booked, meetings with other people's diaries attached. Place those first, then fill in around them, and be realistic about how long the drives between them actually take. Britain is small but it is not fast, and the last hour into a rural destination is usually the slow one.

Send whatever you have, however rough. A draft that changes twice is far more useful than a finished plan that arrives late. We will look at the shape, flag anything that will not fit inside a day or inside a chauffeur's permitted hours, and suggest an alternative structure where one would plainly serve you better than the version you have drafted. That conversation is far cheaper before the hotels are booked.

  • The trip dates, and the hours wanted on each individual day
  • Where each day starts and finishes, hotel by hotel
  • The fixed appointments that cannot move at any point
  • Passenger and luggage counts, including anyone joining part way
  • Any rural venues, estate tracks or difficult access on the route
  • Whether the car is needed for airport legs at either end

What the quotation covers

A multi-day quotation is issued in writing and sets out the days, the hours held on each, the vehicle class, the overnight arrangements, any repositioning at the beginning and end, and the terms that apply, all confirmed at the point of booking. It should read as one arrangement rather than as a list of separate days stapled together, because that is how the trip will actually be operated.

Send the outline to us on WhatsApp or by email and we will come back with that document. If we think the trip as drafted is too ambitious, involves a drive nobody will enjoy, or would be better served by taking the train for one leg, we will say so. A trip that leaves you tired is not a success, however well it was executed.

Why Luxury Chauffeurs

Why Choose Luxury Chauffeurs

  • 01

    Held, not hailed

The car is reserved against your name for the whole booking. Nothing is pooled, nothing is reallocated, and no algorithm decides who arrives at your door.

  • 02

    Priced in writing

Distance, duration, vehicle and timing are worked out before you commit, then confirmed in writing, so the figure you agree is the figure for the journey.

  • 03

    London and beyond

A short run across Mayfair and an unhurried drive to the Highlands are arranged with the same care, by the same people, under one booking.

  • 04

    Discretion as habit

Unbranded vehicles, chauffeurs who speak only when spoken to, and a rear compartment where a confidential call needs no lowering of the voice.

Four Steps

How Booking Works

Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.

  1. 01

    Tell us the journey

Send the date, the addresses and the shape of the day on WhatsApp, or use the journey planner. There is no obligation and no card details are taken to get a price.

  2. 02

    We quote in writing

You receive a written quotation covering the vehicle, the timings and everything included — no estimates that move later, and no surge pricing.

  3. 03

    The car is held

On confirmation a vehicle and a named professional chauffeur are assigned to your date, and the terms are put in writing.

  4. 04

    Your chauffeur arrives

Briefed on the route, the access and the waiting arrangements before the day, so nothing is decided at the kerb.

Corporate & Business

Business Travel Across Britain

Corporate chauffeur work runs to a diary rather than a postcode. Meetings overrun, a signing drags past six, and the airport leg still has to make check-in. Because the vehicle is committed to your booking, a revised plan costs a message rather than a fresh price. Accounts can be arranged so individual travellers never handle payment, and the paperwork is kept plain enough for a finance team to reconcile without chasing anybody.

The rear compartment is treated as a working space. Cabins are quiet enough for a confidential call, papers can stay open on the seat between stops, and chauffeurs understand that what is overheard is not repeated. Roadshows, board visits and conference movements involving several cars are coordinated centrally, so one person holds the schedule and one thread carries every change to it.

Before You Send

What to Tell Us

None of it is compulsory. The more you include, the sooner we can reply with a firm written price rather than a question.

  1. 01

    Where and when

Pickup and destination addresses, the date, and the time you need to arrive rather than leave.

  2. 02

    Who is travelling

Passenger numbers, large cases and cabin bags, and the ages of any children so we fit the right seats.

  3. 03

    The shape of the day

One journey, a return, or a car held for several hours. Say if the timings might move.

  4. 04

    Flight or event details

A flight number lets us plan around the published schedule; an event name tells us which gate and which traffic plan.

  5. 05

    Vehicle preference

A category is enough — or ask us to recommend one for the party and the distance.

  6. 06

    Anything else

Accessibility requirements, a preferred route, a stop on the way, or a quiet car with no conversation.

Professional Chauffeur Standards

The Standard We Hold

What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.

  • Vetted professional chauffeurs

Every chauffeur is licensed, insured and vetted before they drive for us. They are briefed on your journey in advance and dressed for the occasion.

  • Discretion by default

Vehicles carry no branding. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and what is discussed in the back of the car stays there.

  • Immaculate vehicles

Current-generation cars, valeted before every journey, with still water and charging in the rear compartment.

  • One point of contact

The same person handles your enquiry, your quotation and your booking, so nothing is explained twice.
