Chauffeur Service Dover
Everything about Dover arranges itself around the water, and any sensible arrival time here gets worked backwards from a sailing or a berth.
Quoted individually. Give us the outline and a written price comes back to you: no rate card, no obligation whatsoever.
White Cliffs above, castle looking down: the town lives under both, and the port keeps its clock. Freight moves on the A20 well before dawn. Cars and foot passengers collect at the Eastern Docks. Over in the Western Docks, cruise ships turn around on the days they are scheduled to. Most guests we bring here are boarding a ship, making the crossing to France, or stopping to look at the castle and the wartime tunnels before pushing on into east Kent.
Which terminal? That is always the practical question here. Cruise calls berth at the Western Docks, reached off the A20 seafront approach, whereas ferry departures go through the Eastern Docks entrance beneath the cliffs, and one will not substitute for the other. So we ask for the ship or the sailing rather than simply the town, leave time for the queue at the dock gate, and hold the car close by instead of circling. Dover Priory has a short forecourt, so meeting points get agreed in advance.
Twenty five minutes or so on the A2 puts you in Canterbury; fifteen to twenty on the A20 gets you to Folkestone; Deal and Sandwich sit a similar way up the coast. Reaching Gatwick by the M20 and M25 normally costs an hour and a half to two hours, and more again on a Friday. For central London, count two hours through to two hours forty five, unless you take the high speed service from Dover Priory, which is sensible, with a car waiting at St Pancras.

Local Knowledge
Dropping past Shakespeare Cliff into Dover, the A20 is the road that matters for the port, while the A2 carries you in over the downs from Canterbury and is usually the calmer way into the town itself. Freight queues build on the A20 whenever crossings are disrupted, and lorry traffic management schemes now and then alter the run into the docks. Rather than assume, we look at the picture on the morning, and an extra half hour goes in whenever a ship is sailing.
Hundreds of arrivals land inside a short window when the Western Docks handle a cruise turnaround, and that leaves the terminal approach far busier at nine in the morning than it will be by two in the afternoon. Should your schedule allow it, take the later slot; we will suggest as much. Flying out, what makes a Dover to Gatwick run difficult is the M25 between the Sevenoaks junctions and the M23, above all on Friday afternoons and over bank holiday weekends. Margin, not optimism, governs when we leave.
Why Luxury Chauffeurs
01
Load the luggage once. That same vehicle then stays with you the whole way, from a London doorstep to a village hotel at the far end of the country.
02
Down a lane, across gravel, up to a gatehouse: that closing stretch of a journey happens to be precisely the part public transport cannot manage at all.
03
We price a regional journey whole, return leg and any waiting included, which leaves nothing at all to be worked out once you reach the far end.
04
Each place here gets its own page: what a chauffeur genuinely does on the ground, honest road timings, and where the car can wait once you arrive.

Four Steps
Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.
01
Message us on WhatsApp with your date, the addresses and roughly how the day looks, or fill in the journey planner instead. Nothing is owed either way, and getting a price asks for no card details at all.
02
Back comes a written quotation setting out the vehicle, the timings and everything included. No estimate that shifts afterwards, and no surge pricing.
03
Once you confirm, your date has a vehicle against it and a named professional chauffeur, with the terms set down in writing.
04
Your chauffeur is briefed beforehand on the route, the access and where the waiting happens, so nothing gets decided at the kerb.
Included as Standard
Quoted as one price. No hidden extras added at the end of the journey.
Dover chauffeur hire, with timings worked around the Eastern Docks, the cruise terminals and the A20.

Corporate & Business
Outside London, business travel is where the road wins hands down. A site in an industrial park. A client on a business park hanging off a motorway junction. Two offices in two different cities on one day. Not one of those sits near a station, and every one of them is straightforward by car. What happens on the drive between them is preparation, rather than an interval spent waiting about for a connection.
Administratively, nationwide chauffeur work is easier to keep hold of. Across a two-day itinerary you have one booking, one written quotation and one chauffeur, in place of a tangle of tickets, transfers and receipts. When a team travels together the conversation carries on inside the car, and that often turns out to be the most productive hour of the trip, the one nobody thought to plan. Accounts can be set up for regular regional travel.
Who We Drive
Couples bound for a spa town, a country house or a coastal hotel, who would far rather have the break start at their own front door.
Directors calling on offices, sites and plants out in cities where a hire car plus an unfamiliar ring road would swallow most of the morning.
Christenings, graduations, anniversaries held in the part of the country everybody left, reached without three changes and a rural taxi waiting at the end.
Visitors keen to see Britain itself instead of the inside of terminals, and who put a value on one arrangement spanning several counties.
Events & Occasions
Of every journey there is, a country wedding repays a chauffeur most. The venue sits at the end of a lane. Parking is a field. The reception runs late, and by midnight the drive home is the last thing anybody wants in their head. Book it properly and the car waits exactly where you agreed it would, leaving one decision only: which of you falls asleep first.
Leisure travel gains something else again. Give a weekend in a spa town, a college city or a stretch of coastline a route that belongs to you, and it improves at once. A detour to some church one of you read about. A long lunch nobody has to abandon for a train. An afternoon stretched out because the weather turned generous. The car waits through all of it, and the day holds its own shape.

Airport Transfers
Reckon on 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, according to the M20 and M25
Inside the terminal, a name board goes up and your chauffeur waits with it, then carries the bags to the car. Give us a flight number and the collection is planned around the published schedule and how long clearing normally takes. Departures run the other way. We start at the check-in you want to make and count backwards, leaving room for the road and the hour of day.

Timing & Availability
On a long journey, Britain's weather does more damage than its traffic ever will. Winter afternoons close in early, and that matters a great deal when the final leg is a single-track road. Highland and moorland routes can run substantially longer than any summer estimate suggests. Those allowances go into the timings from the start, rather than being discovered together halfway up a glen. Where a departure hour makes the schedule uncomfortable, we propose a better one.
Demand tracks the calendar closely. Bank holiday weekends fill fast, so do the weeks either side of Christmas, the summer wedding season and those university terms that all begin and end together. The further from London a journey runs, the sooner a car wants committing to it. Midweek travel in the shoulder months, by contrast, is the easiest thing in the world to arrange.
Professional Chauffeur Standards
What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.
Before anyone drives for us they are licensed, insured and vetted. Ahead of the day your chauffeur reads the journey through, and turns up dressed for the occasion.
No branding appears on the cars. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and whatever gets said behind the front seats goes no further.
Cars of the current generation, valeted ahead of each journey, still water and charging in the rear compartment.
One person takes your enquiry, writes the quotation and sees the booking through, so you never explain anything twice.
