The A299 Thanet Way is the road that connects this corner of Kent to everything else, feeding into the M2 at Faversham and then the A2 towards London. It runs well most of the time and poorly on summer Fridays and bank holiday weekends, when the seaside traffic and the Dover freight arrive together. The A256 between Ramsgate, Sandwich and Dover is the local spine and its roundabouts at Cliffsend and Minster are the usual delays.
