Tooley Street carries most of the traffic between London Bridge and the Jamaica Road junction, and it stiffens badly around the station in the early evening. Coming in from the east on Jamaica Road is usually quicker after five, and it avoids the crush by the market entirely. Shad Thames is cobbled, tight and heavily pedestrianised at its western end, so for anything near Butlers Wharf we suggest Curlew Street or Gainsford Street as the collection point.

Bermondsey Square fills early on a Friday for the antiques market, and the surrounding bays go with it. Tower Bridge Road is a red route in places, which rules out a leisurely load of luggage. For a morning flight we would rather come to your building entrance on Abbey Street or Grange Road, both of which give a car somewhere to stand while a chauffeur carries the cases across the pavement.
