Motorway access for the town comes at junction 25, which has been reworked in recent years along with changes to the A358, so the layout around it is worth checking rather than assuming. In both peaks nothing locally is busier. The Toneway approach out of town can crawl for a good stretch. For anything heading south, junction 26 at Wellington is frequently the calmer choice, and we pick between the two by direction and by the hour.

East from here, a great many journeys use the A358 towards Ilminster and the A303.
