Almost every journey out of Raynes Park begins on Coombe Lane, which climbs west towards Coombe and the A3 or drops east into Wimbledon. Getting on to the A3 northbound is straightforward, but the return southbound in the evening is not, and the queue can reach a long way back before the junction.
