The whole airport runs off one terminal, reached from the A8, with the M8 and the M9 each a few minutes distant. Position like that is unusually useful. Off the kerb you can be into the city centre quickly, on the Glasgow road at once, or heading north over the Forth without doubling back through traffic. Which of those you need is something your chauffeur knows long before the aircraft lands.
Collections happen in the arrivals hall, where a name board is held up and, once you appear, the luggage travels out to the car with your chauffeur. Pass us the flight number and the pickup gets planned around the published schedule and the clearance time we would normally expect here. All through August, with the festival filling the city, the terminal is busy from very early in the morning. We allow for that.
Heading out of the city, the run along the A8 is short, though the western approaches slow at rush hour and on event weekends. Departure times here are chosen to suit the hour rather than the mileage. Your chauffeur collects from your hotel or your house, loads the cases and sets you down at the terminal door, a few steps only from the check-in desks.
Ask where people are going and the answers repeat themselves: the Old and New Towns first, then north across the Forth for St Andrews and Gleneagles, west on the M8 towards Glasgow, or up into Perthshire and the glens, which happens on the days when getting there is the point of the whole trip. Ingliston, the A8 and the Forth
One hall takes every arrival, and the international and domestic streams converge close enough together that a name board is simple to spot. Reckon on roughly twenty-five to forty minutes from landing before you appear off a domestic or European flight, longer where a transatlantic arrival and a wave of short-haul aircraft come down inside the same half hour. Planning follows the schedule you give us, and the car is held however long the wait runs.
Off the A8 at Ingliston is how you reach the terminal, with the M8, the M9 and the city bypass all a few minutes away and the tram running beside the final approach. Dropping off near the entrance is chargeable, as at most UK airports, and the less expensive option further out means a longer walk. Western approaches into the city slow noticeably at rush hour, and through August they slow for most of the day.
Northwards, private cars take the Queensferry Crossing rather than the old road bridge, which now belongs to public transport, and that costs a few minutes for anyone who assumed the shorter line on the map. Fife and Perthshire open up from there. Ahead of a first flight we would ordinarily collect before six, with the A8 empty; in winter, time gets added for clearing the car and for the slower run through the dark.

Timing & Availability
August, winter and notice
Nothing in the Scottish calendar is busier than the festival month, and vehicles commit early for it; travelling in August, ask sooner than feels necessary. Hogmanay, the rugby weekends at Murrayfield and the big golf weeks tighten availability too. Beyond those, spring and late autumn are comparatively quiet, with short-notice bookings frequently possible on both.
Winter earns an allowance of its own. On a dark, frosted morning the A8 runs slower than the same road does in June, and a de-icing queue at the terminal is nobody's fault and everybody's problem. That goes into early collections rather than being left to luck, and we confirm the plan with you the evening before by WhatsApp or email.
