Chauffeur Service Lichfield
Between three spires, a mediaeval close and a bypass hardly any visitor notices, Lichfield keeps an ease that bigger cities never quite find.
Quoted individually. Give us the outline and a written price comes back to you: no rate card, no obligation whatsoever.
Tone comes from the cathedral and its close, and the city around them stays small and carefully kept. Visitors turn up for festival weeks, for services and concerts, and for weekends built around Samuel Johnson's city and the Staffordshire countryside past its edges. Business travel runs steadily too, out of the professional firms in the centre and the military presence at Whittington. A car waiting quietly at the kerb suits the place exactly, and always has.
People get caught out by the two stations, which serve quite different purposes. Lichfield City stands near the centre; Lichfield Trent Valley lies east on the West Coast Main Line; and checking which of them your train uses spares you an awkward fifteen minutes. Dam Street and the roads circling the Close are narrow and partly restricted, so we work from Beacon Street or the Bird Street end instead of promising a car at the cathedral door.
Thirty to forty-five minutes on the A38 and M42 sees you at Birmingham Airport, with the M6 Toll there as an option whenever the M6 turns unhappy. Tamworth lies fifteen minutes east, Sutton Coldfield twenty south, Cannock twenty west, Burton upon Trent about half an hour north. Getting into Birmingham city centre takes thirty to fifty minutes, according to the A38, and London by road runs two and a quarter to three hours.

Local Knowledge
Lichfield's main road is the A38, and its character shifts fast. Heading south it runs well towards the M6 Toll at T5 and the M42, though the stretch through Weeford, and the approach to junction 9 of the M42, tighten in the morning peak. Going the other way it behaves until an incident on the M6 pushes heavy traffic down onto it. Then we take the A51 towards Rugeley instead, and we say so before setting off.
Festival week in July fills the centre, and so do the cathedral's carol services in December, with roads around the Close shut in both cases, so collections shift out to Beacon Park or the Friary. Lichfield Trent Valley parks cars on either side of the line, and the footbridge between them costs several minutes once you have luggage, which is worth knowing at midnight in February. Should a toll or a clean air charge fall on your route, the quotation already accounts for it.
Why Luxury Chauffeurs
01
Load the luggage once. That same vehicle then stays with you the whole way, from a London doorstep to a village hotel at the far end of the country.
02
Down a lane, across gravel, up to a gatehouse: that closing stretch of a journey happens to be precisely the part public transport cannot manage at all.
03
We price a regional journey whole, return leg and any waiting included, which leaves nothing at all to be worked out once you reach the far end.
04
Each place here gets its own page: what a chauffeur genuinely does on the ground, honest road timings, and where the car can wait once you arrive.

Four Steps
Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.
01
Message us on WhatsApp with your date, the addresses and roughly how the day looks, or fill in the journey planner instead. Nothing is owed either way, and getting a price asks for no card details at all.
02
Back comes a written quotation setting out the vehicle, the timings and everything included. No estimate that shifts afterwards, and no surge pricing.
03
Once you confirm, your date has a vehicle against it and a named professional chauffeur, with the terms set down in writing.
04
Your chauffeur is briefed beforehand on the route, the access and where the waiting happens, so nothing gets decided at the kerb.
Included as Standard
Quoted as one price. No hidden extras added at the end of the journey.
Three spires, the A38 running past, and the airport half an hour distant: this is chauffeured travel arranged around Lichfield.

Corporate & Business
Outside London, business travel is where the road wins hands down. A site in an industrial park. A client on a business park hanging off a motorway junction. Two offices in two different cities on one day. Not one of those sits near a station, and every one of them is straightforward by car. What happens on the drive between them is preparation, rather than an interval spent waiting about for a connection.
Administratively, nationwide chauffeur work is easier to keep hold of. Across a two-day itinerary you have one booking, one written quotation and one chauffeur, in place of a tangle of tickets, transfers and receipts. When a team travels together the conversation carries on inside the car, and that often turns out to be the most productive hour of the trip, the one nobody thought to plan. Accounts can be set up for regular regional travel.
Who We Drive
Couples bound for a spa town, a country house or a coastal hotel, who would far rather have the break start at their own front door.
Directors calling on offices, sites and plants out in cities where a hire car plus an unfamiliar ring road would swallow most of the morning.
Christenings, graduations, anniversaries held in the part of the country everybody left, reached without three changes and a rural taxi waiting at the end.
Visitors keen to see Britain itself instead of the inside of terminals, and who put a value on one arrangement spanning several counties.
Events & Occasions
Of every journey there is, a country wedding repays a chauffeur most. The venue sits at the end of a lane. Parking is a field. The reception runs late, and by midnight the drive home is the last thing anybody wants in their head. Book it properly and the car waits exactly where you agreed it would, leaving one decision only: which of you falls asleep first.
Leisure travel gains something else again. Give a weekend in a spa town, a college city or a stretch of coastline a route that belongs to you, and it improves at once. A detour to some church one of you read about. A long lunch nobody has to abandon for a train. An afternoon stretched out because the weather turned generous. The car waits through all of it, and the day holds its own shape.

Airport Transfers
Somewhere near 30 to 45 minutes, depending what traffic does
Inside the terminal, a name board goes up and your chauffeur waits with it, then carries the bags to the car. Give us a flight number and the collection is planned around the published schedule and how long clearing normally takes. Departures run the other way. We start at the check-in you want to make and count backwards, leaving room for the road and the hour of day.

Timing & Availability
On a long journey, Britain's weather does more damage than its traffic ever will. Winter afternoons close in early, and that matters a great deal when the final leg is a single-track road. Highland and moorland routes can run substantially longer than any summer estimate suggests. Those allowances go into the timings from the start, rather than being discovered together halfway up a glen. Where a departure hour makes the schedule uncomfortable, we propose a better one.
Demand tracks the calendar closely. Bank holiday weekends fill fast, so do the weeks either side of Christmas, the summer wedding season and those university terms that all begin and end together. The further from London a journey runs, the sooner a car wants committing to it. Midweek travel in the shoulder months, by contrast, is the easiest thing in the world to arrange.
Professional Chauffeur Standards
What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.
Before anyone drives for us they are licensed, insured and vetted. Ahead of the day your chauffeur reads the journey through, and turns up dressed for the occasion.
No branding appears on the cars. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and whatever gets said behind the front seats goes no further.
Cars of the current generation, valeted ahead of each journey, still water and charging in the rear compartment.
One person takes your enquiry, writes the quotation and sees the booking through, so you never explain anything twice.
