Everything at Stansted funnels into one place. There is a single terminal, the satellite buildings feed into it by an automated transit, and every arriving passenger ends up walking out through the same arrivals area. From a meeting point of view that is about as straightforward as a large airport gets, and it is the reason collections here are rarely complicated.

The part worth understanding is what happens before you reach that hall. Depending on which satellite your aircraft parks at, there is a transit ride, then immigration, then the baggage hall, and the whole sequence takes longer than the size of the airport suggests. Planning around it is the difference between a chauffeur waiting for you and you waiting for a chauffeur.

One terminal, several satellites

The main terminal sits at the centre of the site, with satellite piers reached by an automated transit system. Aircraft park at the satellites and passengers ride in. It is quick and it runs frequently, but it is an extra stage, and on a busy evening the platform can be full enough that you wait for the following train.

Once you are in the terminal, arrivals is on the lower level and the route out is clear and single. There is no branching, no choice of exits and no possibility of emerging somewhere your chauffeur is not. Whatever the satellite, everyone comes out in the same place, which makes a name board genuinely easy to find.

How long the walk out usually takes

From landing to the arrivals hall, thirty to fifty minutes is a fair working assumption for a short-haul flight with hold luggage, and rather less if you are travelling with cabin bags only. The transit ride, the walk from the satellite and the border hall each add a few minutes, and the baggage belt adds whatever it decides to add.

The airport runs a heavy early morning departure bank and a correspondingly heavy late evening arrivals bank, and the latter is the busier window for collections. Between about nine and midnight the arrivals area fills steadily. Your chauffeur will stand where the board is visible from the doors and will move if the crowd makes that impossible.

We plan around the published schedule for the flight number you provide and the clearance times we would ordinarily expect here. That is planning rather than tracking; we make no claim to watch aircraft move in real time. A short message once you are through is the most useful thing you can send.

Where the car is left

Short stay parking sits close to the terminal, and that is where a chauffeur meeting you inside will normally leave the vehicle. The walk from the arrivals hall to the car is short. The mid and long stay car parks are considerably further out and served by shuttle buses, which is exactly why we do not use them for a meet and greet collection.

Forecourt access at Stansted is the airport's own arrangement and is chargeable. We handle whatever applies on the day and include it in the written quotation, so there is nothing to sort out at a barrier and nothing to pay at the kerb. If you would rather be collected from a specific spot, tell us at booking and we will agree it in advance.

  • A single terminal, so every arrival exits into the same hall
  • Satellite piers are reached by an automated transit before immigration
  • Your chauffeur waits inside arrivals with a name board
  • Short stay parking keeps the walk to the car brief
  • Mid and long stay car parks are far out and not used for collections

The one thing people get wrong

Stansted has a large coach station immediately outside the terminal, and it is busy at all hours. Passengers occasionally walk straight past the arrivals meeting area and out to the coach forecourt looking for a car, on the reasonable assumption that vehicles wait outside. At most airports they do. Here, at that hour and in that crowd, it is the surest way to miss your chauffeur.

The rule is simple: stay inside the building until you have found the name board. Your chauffeur is in the hall, not in the coach bays, and walking out to look for a car is the single most common cause of a delayed meeting at this airport.

Onward journeys from the M11

Stansted sits directly off the M11, which makes some journeys from here notably easy and others less so. Cambridge is a short run north and the drive is usually straightforward. Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire are all comfortably reached. Into London, the M11 runs well until the North Circular, at which point the time of day takes over.

Late evening arrivals into London are often quick, which is fortunate given how many flights land here after nine. Weekday morning arrivals face the reverse. Your chauffeur takes the route that suits the actual conditions, and long onward journeys, including to other airports, are quoted as part of the same booking rather than treated as an exception.

In Short

  2. 02Allow thirty to fifty minutes from landing on a short-haul arrival with bags
  3. 03Stay inside the terminal until you have found the name board
  4. 04The coach station outside is not where your chauffeur waits

Why Luxury Chauffeurs

Why Choose Luxury Chauffeurs

  • 01

    Held, not hailed

The car is reserved against your name for the whole booking. Nothing is pooled, nothing is reallocated, and no algorithm decides who arrives at your door.

  • 02

    Priced in writing

Distance, duration, vehicle and timing are worked out before you commit, then confirmed in writing, so the figure you agree is the figure for the journey.

  • 03

    London and beyond

A short run across Mayfair and an unhurried drive to the Highlands are arranged with the same care, by the same people, under one booking.

  • 04

    Discretion as habit

Unbranded vehicles, chauffeurs who speak only when spoken to, and a rear compartment where a confidential call needs no lowering of the voice.

Four Steps

How Booking Works

Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.

  1. 01

    Tell us the journey

Send the date, the addresses and the shape of the day on WhatsApp, or use the journey planner. There is no obligation and no card details are taken to get a price.

  2. 02

    We quote in writing

You receive a written quotation covering the vehicle, the timings and everything included — no estimates that move later, and no surge pricing.

  3. 03

    The car is held

On confirmation a vehicle and a named professional chauffeur are assigned to your date, and the terms are put in writing.

  4. 04

    Your chauffeur arrives

Briefed on the route, the access and the waiting arrangements before the day, so nothing is decided at the kerb.

Corporate & Business

Business Travel Across Britain

Corporate chauffeur work runs to a diary rather than a postcode. Meetings overrun, a signing drags past six, and the airport leg still has to make check-in. Because the vehicle is committed to your booking, a revised plan costs a message rather than a fresh price. Accounts can be arranged so individual travellers never handle payment, and the paperwork is kept plain enough for a finance team to reconcile without chasing anybody.

The rear compartment is treated as a working space. Cabins are quiet enough for a confidential call, papers can stay open on the seat between stops, and chauffeurs understand that what is overheard is not repeated. Roadshows, board visits and conference movements involving several cars are coordinated centrally, so one person holds the schedule and one thread carries every change to it.

Before You Send

What to Tell Us

None of it is compulsory. The more you include, the sooner we can reply with a firm written price rather than a question.

  1. 01

    Where and when

Pickup and destination addresses, the date, and the time you need to arrive rather than leave.

  2. 02

    Who is travelling

Passenger numbers, large cases and cabin bags, and the ages of any children so we fit the right seats.

  3. 03

    The shape of the day

One journey, a return, or a car held for several hours. Say if the timings might move.

  4. 04

    Flight or event details

A flight number lets us plan around the published schedule; an event name tells us which gate and which traffic plan.

  5. 05

    Vehicle preference

A category is enough — or ask us to recommend one for the party and the distance.

  6. 06

    Anything else

Accessibility requirements, a preferred route, a stop on the way, or a quiet car with no conversation.

Professional Chauffeur Standards

The Standard We Hold

What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.

  • Vetted professional chauffeurs

Every chauffeur is licensed, insured and vetted before they drive for us. They are briefed on your journey in advance and dressed for the occasion.

  • Discretion by default

Vehicles carry no branding. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and what is discussed in the back of the car stays there.

  • Immaculate vehicles

Current-generation cars, valeted before every journey, with still water and charging in the rear compartment.

  • One point of contact

The same person handles your enquiry, your quotation and your booking, so nothing is explained twice.
