Group celebrations are perfectly ordinary work, and the assumption that a chauffeur service will look down its nose at a hen or stag party is wrong. What we care about is the same thing we care about on a corporate booking: that everybody arrives where they meant to, in one piece, without anybody having to argue with a taxi app at eleven at night.
Where these days go wrong is almost always in the planning rather than the behaviour. Twelve people, four venues, two towns and a vague sense of when things are happening will defeat any transport arrangement. Build the day around a car that stays with you and most of the difficulty disappears before it starts.
Why a held car beats separate journeys
Booking individual transfers for a celebration assumes you will know, in advance, exactly when lunch finishes and when the group leaves the second bar. You will not. A vehicle held for an agreed window absorbs that uncertainty: it waits, it moves when you are ready, and coats and bags stay in the boot rather than being carried between venues.
It also solves the awkward part of the evening. At the end of a long day, a car that is already outside with a chauffeur who knows every address is worth considerably more than the alternative of splitting a group across whatever transport happens to be available. The conditions we ask groups to agree
None of this is unusual and most of it will be obvious, but it is set out plainly at booking so that nobody discovers it halfway through the evening. Agreeing it in advance keeps the day pleasant for the group and workable for the chauffeur.
- No alcohol is consumed inside the vehicle at any point
- No smoking or vaping in the car, as with any chauffeur booking
- One named organiser is responsible for the group and the timings
- Seatbelts worn, and passenger numbers not exceeding the seats
- Terms covering damage or additional cleaning, agreed in writing
- The chauffeur may end the booking if anyone becomes unsafe
Choosing the vehicle and shaping the day
Party size decides almost everything. A luxury MPV handles a small group comfortably with room for bags, while a larger party generally needs two vehicles travelling together rather than one bigger one. We do not run stretch limousines or party buses, so if that is the picture in your head, another supplier will serve you better and we will say so early.
For the itinerary itself, give us the fixed points and let the rest float. A restaurant booking, a spa slot or a show curtain is immovable; the drink beforehand is not. Where you are moving between towns, be realistic about road time on a Saturday, since a schedule that assumes clear roads through a city centre in the evening rarely survives contact with reality.
