Leicester is one of the most genuinely mixed cities in Britain, and one of the best places in it to eat.

The Golden Mile along Belgrave Road would justify the journey on its own, and the rest of the city has more layers than most visitors expect. Roman remains sit beside a cathedral that now tells the story of Richard III, the market has been trading on the same ground for centuries, and the King Power keeps the whole place loud on a Saturday afternoon. It is a working, sociable city that rarely feels crowded.
Leicester station is a short run from the centre, though the ring road makes it feel considerably further. We handle the hotels around New Walk and the Highcross quarter, the university and hospital sites, the King Power on matchdays when the surrounding streets close, and the distribution and engineering parks out towards Meridian that no taxi ever seems keen to find on a wet evening.
Rutland Water and the stone towns of Uppingham and Oakham lie east and make an unhurried day. Stamford, arguably the prettiest small town in England, sits just beyond, with Burghley House on its edge. Market Harborough, Bradgate Park and the Charnwood villages are all within half an hour, and Warwick and Stratford are an easy run west along the A46 when the weather behaves.
East Midlands Airport is roughly twenty to thirty minutes north west and covers most short-haul needs, while Birmingham is around fifty minutes for long-haul. From London the M1 is direct and usually takes two to three hours depending on the Northampton stretch. Trains from St Pancras are quick, and a car waiting outside saves the walk across the ring road with luggage.

Why Luxury Chauffeurs
01
Two ring roads and a one-way centre make short journeys longer than they look. The route is set for the address rather than for the middle of the postcode.
02
One written figure covers vehicle, hours, waiting and parking, sent before you agree, and it does not move unless you decide to move the plan.
03
Belgrave Road, Highcross and the King Power all suffer the same shortage of anywhere to stop. We drop at the door and wait somewhere sensible nearby.
04
Vehicles come from our own cars and a vetted network of professional chauffeur operators, so a family of five is never quietly squeezed into a saloon.
At a Glance
The Golden Mile is busy and short of parking, so we drop at the door and collect afterwards.
Meridian and the sites off the M1 are simple by car and genuinely difficult without one.
Half an hour east and the landscape changes entirely into stone villages and open water.
Local Knowledge
Three motorway junctions serve the city, 21, 21a and 22, and each lands you on a different side of it, with the M69 branching to Coventry and the A46 sweeping round the west. Inside, the A563 outer ring and the central ring road do most of the work, and the one-way sections around the centre mean a hotel can be visible for several minutes before you actually reach it.
The station on London Road is a short run from the middle and sits directly on the ring road, so its forecourt fills quickly and a fixed meeting point agreed beforehand is worth the trouble. In the centre, Highcross and the market streets are pedestrian and the New Walk area is residential, which limits waiting to a handful of workable spots. Where any clean air or access charge applies to the vehicle you have booked, it is priced into the quotation and confirmed at the time of booking.
East Midlands Airport lies north west, generally twenty to thirty-five minutes depending on the M1, with Birmingham around fifty minutes when the route matters more. The last mile is the real work here: Meridian Business Park, Grove Park at Enderby, Optimus Point and the vast distribution sheds at Magna Park sit among roundabouts that defeat most visiting drivers. From London the M1 is direct, typically two to three hours, and the difference between a good run and a poor one is usually decided well before you reach Leicestershire.

Four Steps
Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.
01
Send the date, the addresses and the shape of the day on WhatsApp, or use the journey planner. There is no obligation and no card details are taken to get a price.
02
You receive a written quotation covering the vehicle, the timings and everything included — no estimates that move later, and no surge pricing.
03
On confirmation a vehicle and a named professional chauffeur are assigned to your date, and the terms are put in writing.
04
Briefed on the route, the access and the waiting arrangements before the day, so nothing is decided at the kerb.

Leicester is one of the most genuinely mixed cities in Britain, and one of the best places in it to eat.

Corporate & Business
Distribution, engineering, food production and textiles give the county a working economy that sits almost entirely outside the city centre. Magna Park, the M1 corridor and the parks at Enderby and Braunstone are where the appointments happen, and they are separated by dual carriageways rather than pavements. A car held for the day makes four site visits possible where two would otherwise be ambitious.
The city also works well as a base for the wider Midlands, with Coventry, Nottingham, Derby and Northampton all inside an hour. Where colleagues arrive on different trains, we meet each service and bring everyone to the same place. Accounts can be arranged in advance, and the day's schedule is confirmed in writing so nobody is guessing about collection times.
Who We Drive
Groups heading for Belgrave Road on an evening when parking is a fantasy and nobody in the party wants to be the one staying sober.
People with appointments at Meridian, Grove Park, Magna Park or the M1 corridor sites, none of which are walkable from anywhere at all.
Football at the King Power, rugby at Welford Road and arena-scale shows all produce the same crowd and the same need to leave promptly.
Visitors making a slow day of Oakham, Stamford and Burghley, with lunch booked and the driving handed over entirely to somebody else.
Events & Occasions
Leicester eats well and late, and Belgrave Road on a warm evening is one of the few streets in England where a table is easier to find than a parking space. The Diwali celebrations there draw very large crowds and close roads for the evening, which is a night to be dropped and collected rather than driven. Curve and De Montfort Hall handle the rest of the calendar.
Weddings here are frequently large, often multi-day, and regularly involve a procession of cars arriving in a particular order at a particular minute. We plan those backwards from the ceremony and drive the route beforehand where the venue is rural. Rugby afternoons at Welford Road and football at the King Power finish the same way, with a collection point set a comfortable walk from the ground.

Airports

Popular Journeys
Quoted door to door as a single movement, including the return leg and any waiting in between.
Timing & Availability
The wedding season from spring to early autumn takes most Saturdays, and the autumn festival period around Diwali is the busiest single stretch of the year in the city. Match and fixture weekends account for much of the rest. If your date falls on any of those, the vehicles worth having are committed long before the week itself.
Weekdays are generally straightforward, though the M1 junctions and the ring road both congest between four and six and an afternoon meeting can quietly become an evening one. Business days at short notice are often possible with a day or two of warning. Send the outline by message and you will get an honest answer about what the timings actually allow.
Professional Chauffeur Standards
What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.
Every chauffeur is licensed, insured and vetted before they drive for us. They are briefed on your journey in advance and dressed for the occasion.
Vehicles carry no branding. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and what is discussed in the back of the car stays there.
Current-generation cars, valeted before every journey, with still water and charging in the rear compartment.
The same person handles your enquiry, your quotation and your booking, so nothing is explained twice.
