Private Aviation
Stansted takes the aircraft the smaller London airfields cannot, which is why so many long-range departures begin in Essex.

Stansted lies north-east of London in Essex and has a long runway, which is the reason so much heavier business aviation uses it. Long-range departures, larger charter aircraft and group movements that would not suit a small airfield all pass through here, alongside the airport's scheduled traffic. The private terminals sit away from the main passenger building and operate on their own arrangements. It is also the closest sensible private option for Cambridge and much of East Anglia.
Transfers are straightforward provided we know where to go. Your operator will name a handling agent, and that determines the entrance. Your chauffeur arrives ahead of the agreed time, meets you at the building and handles luggage, which at Stansted often means rather more of it, since the aircraft using it have the hold space. Arrival times come from you or your operator; we make no claim to track flights and prefer a buffer to a guess.
The road is the M11, leaving at junction 8, with the A120 linking east and west. From central London an hour to an hour and a half is the honest range, and the approach through east London accounts for most of the variation. From Cambridge it is usually a comfortable forty-five minutes or so. Weekend roadworks on the M11 are frequent enough that we check the route the evening before rather than on the morning.
Onward, journeys divide between London, Cambridge and the East Anglian coast, and Hertfordshire and the north. Groups arriving on a larger aircraft usually want two or three vehicles moving together, which we run on matched timings with the chauffeurs in contact. Crew transfers to airport hotels are booked at the same time. We are an independent chauffeur company and hold no affiliation with the airport, its operators or any handling agent.

Why Luxury Chauffeurs
01
Larger aircraft arrive with larger luggage. We ask what is coming off before choosing the vehicle, so that the cases and the passengers travel in the same car.
02
The M11 is straightforward until it is not. We plan the run around roadworks and the east London approach rather than trusting an optimistic estimate.
03
When a group needs three cars, our own vehicles and vetted partner operators move as one, with the chauffeurs in contact rather than arriving twenty minutes apart.
04
We hold no affiliation with the airport, its operators or any handling agent, and every access arrangement is the one your agent confirms rather than one we assume.
At a Glance
The long runway is why so many long-range and group departures start from here.
Larger aircraft mean larger holds, and we send a vehicle sized to match.
Usually the most practical private terminal for Cambridge, the science parks and the colleges.
Local Knowledge
The rhythm of a business aviation departure is unfamiliar if you have only flown commercially. There is no three-hour margin to absorb a slow road, and equally no reason to arrive two hours early, so the useful target is a narrow window agreed beforehand. That window is short because everything inside the building is short: no queue, no security hall to cross, no gate to walk to. The car is therefore aimed at a particular minute rather than at a morning.
Private movements here use entrances away from the main passenger building, and which one applies is not something to guess at from a map. Your operator names a handling agent, and the agent is who confirms the entrance, the standing arrangements for vehicles, and how passengers are met on the day. We ask for that at the booking stage, and the chauffeur is briefed on it beforehand rather than working it out at a barrier with your flight waiting.
We build the road plan backwards from the handling time rather than the departure time, because the departure time belongs to the aircraft and the handling time belongs to you. Aircraft tracking is not something we offer; the details you share let us plan around the schedule you have been given, and a message updates it. How far the car may go is decided by the agent, and whatever they permit is what we work to.

Four Steps
Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.
01
Send the date, the addresses and the shape of the day on WhatsApp, or use the journey planner. There is no obligation and no card details are taken to get a price.
02
You receive a written quotation covering the vehicle, the timings and everything included — no estimates that move later, and no surge pricing.
03
On confirmation a vehicle and a named professional chauffeur are assigned to your date, and the terms are put in writing.
04
Briefed on the route, the access and the waiting arrangements before the day, so nothing is decided at the kerb.
Included as Standard

Corporate & Business
Stansted suits movements that are too large for a small airfield: a board travelling together, a delegation with security, a team going out for a week with equipment. We plan those as one operation rather than as a handful of unrelated bookings, with a single point of contact throughout and vehicles that leave and arrive as a set rather than in dribs and drabs.
For the Cambridge corridor the road leg is a genuine part of the working day, and the rear of the car is quiet enough to make proper use of it. Crew transfers to airport hotels sit alongside the passenger cars on their own timings. Corporate accounts can be arranged in advance so that nobody is handling payment between one meeting and the next.
Who We Drive
Passengers on transatlantic and Gulf departures where the aircraft is large, the luggage is real and the departure often falls at an awkward hour.
Sporting sides, production units and extended families arriving together, who need several vehicles co-ordinated rather than one car making a series of returns.
Academics, founders and investors moving between the research parks and Europe, for whom this is the nearest practical private terminal by a wide margin.
Flight crew, security and personal staff travelling on timings separate from the principals, in their own vehicles booked on the same enquiry.
Events & Occasions
Family departures from Essex tend to involve rather more than the brochure suggests: a pram, a dog crate, ski bags in February, four large cases in August. Child seats are fitted properly and in advance rather than produced at the kerb, and where the numbers genuinely will not fit one car we say so before the day rather than on it.
Arrivals often continue somewhere well beyond London: a house in Suffolk or Norfolk, a wedding in Hertfordshire, a college dinner in Cambridge, a hotel in town. A single chauffeur for the whole journey is far less trouble than a handover, and the car waits during a stop rather than being dismissed and then recalled an hour later.

Timing & Availability
Long-range flights are the most likely of all to move, and an inbound aircraft delayed at the far end changes everything downstream of it. Your chauffeur waits rather than leaving, and a revised time from you or your handler resets the collection. Waiting is expected here rather than exceptional, and it is built into how the booking is quoted from the very start.
Winter weather and weekend motorway closures both deserve a margin, so we check the route the evening before rather than on the morning of travel. Short-notice bookings are frequently possible, though group movements benefit from more warning, because several vehicles and chauffeurs must be free at the same time. There is never a charge for asking the question.
Professional Chauffeur Standards
What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.
Every chauffeur is licensed, insured and vetted before they drive for us. They are briefed on your journey in advance and dressed for the occasion.
Vehicles carry no branding. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and what is discussed in the back of the car stays there.
Current-generation cars, valeted before every journey, with still water and charging in the rear compartment.
The same person handles your enquiry, your quotation and your booking, so nothing is explained twice.

Where We Travel
London is where most of our work begins, but a chauffeur can be arranged to and from any address in the United Kingdom.
Who we travel with
We are an independent chauffeur service. We hold no official partnership with any airport, terminal operator or fixed base operator. Share your flight number and we will plan your pickup around the published schedule and typical clearance times.
